Cold Eyes is a 2013 South Korean criminal action film starring Sol Kyung-gu, Jung Woo-sung, Han Hyo-joo, Jin Kyung and Lee Junho. A remake of the 2007 film Surveillance Unit, the film tells an episode of a team of detectives from the special criminal surveillance unit who are carrying out a joint operation to overthrow a bank robbery organization.
The film had its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2013, and was also shown at the Busan International Film Festival in the same year, before the official release in South Korea.
A gang of robbers, led by James (Jung Woo-sung), is suspected of carrying out major bank robberies. To prevent them, the unit of the Special Crimes Department of the South Korean police organizes a flawless operation to capture them through a large surveillance system. Yoon-joo (Han Hyo-joo) is hired by Chief Hwang (Sol Kyung-gu), leader of the unit that operates in the capture of criminals, and according to her integration in the team, Yoon-joo cooperates in an attempt to demystify the identity of James.
