Detective K: Secret of the Living Dead is a South Korean historical comedy directed by Kim Sok-yun, released on February 8, 20181. It is an adaptation of the novel The Case of the Murder of Banggakbon by Kim Takhwan, published in July 2003.
It was first at the South Korean box office of 2018 in its first week of operation. It is the third installment of the Detective K film series after Detective K: Secret of the Lost Island, released in 2015.
Kim Min (Kim Myung-min) suspects vampires exist in Korea and seeks information. One day, he is asked to investigate a serial murder case on Kanghwa Island where charred bodies with mysterious bite marks were found. There, Kim Min and her partner Seo-pil (Oh Dal-soo) meet a gorgeous woman (Kim Ji-won) gifted with incredible strength. Kim Min thinks she is involved in this case, but the woman claims that she has lost her memory and does not even remember her name. Kim Min then uses her strength for her investigation. After discovering a clue left on a corpse, they try to determine who will be the next target.
