The Wild Goose Lake (Chinese: 南方 车站 的 聚会; pinyin: Nánfāng Chēzhàn de Jùhuì; lit. 'Meet at the South Railway Station') is a 2019 Chinese neoclassical crime thriller that Diao Yinan is directing and starring Hu Ge, Gwei Lun-mei, Liao Fan and Wan Qian. The film grossed $ 31 million at the box office and was selected to compete for the Golden Branch at the Cannes Film Festival in 2019.
The film opens with Zhou Zenong (Hu Ge) meeting Liu Aiai (Gwei Lun-Mei) at a train station. Zhou was met with his wife, Shujun (Wan Qian), but Liu Aiai was replaced by Huahua (Qi Dao), a partner of Zhou. Chu said that he was the leader of a small gang of specialized servers. One of his infrastructures, Red Hair, shot an opponent in the leg during a territorial dispute. The rival gangs wanted to take revenge on Red Hair and Chu and set a trap for them. Red-haired was killed by a trap, beheaded and Zhou was shot twice in the body. While trying to escape in the rain, Zhou accidentally shot and killed a policeman, mistaking him for a group of opponents.
Police deduced that he was ending up at Wild Goose Lake; a lawless district of Wuhan, and set up a drag net there for him. The head of the police is Captain Liu (Liao Fan). The police followed Shujin.
Zhou finds Huahua, a partner he trusts, works with Shujin so that they can be separated from each other. Huahua is a hand at Wild Goose Lake and Liu Aiai is an in the "user beautiful" server at the watch. Liu Aiai, who was not warned against, was used by Huahua as a middleman.
The police gave Zhou 300,000 yuan prizes, whether life or death. When Zhou learned of the reward, he wanted Liu to arrange for his wife to hand it over to him so that his wife would receive the reward. Huahua cares about collecting his rewards. Meanwhile, the rival gang is also looking to collect rewards and kill Zhou in the process. Eventually Zhou was trapped by the rival gang in an apartment and stabbed by rival gang members who had shot him before, however Zhou was able to kill them and escape. The police heard gunshots from the rival gang (who killed a passerby in the process) and began to actively search for Zhou in the streets. Liu believes that Zhou suspects she betrayed him and tries to run away from him. When trying to escape, Liu happens to meet Yan, who identifies her as one of Huahua's prostitutes. Yan forced Liu to have sex and Zhou saved her by killing him.
Zhou and Liu Aiai walked to the noodle shop and she ordered two bowls of noodles. While paying the bill with the noodle shop owner, the police stormed over and trapped Zhou in the shop. Zhou was able to shoot his way out but was cornered into a lake where he was shot several times before suffering injuries.
Liu Aiai then received the reward and was taken to the bank by Captain Liu with the cash. While taking the cigarettes, the Captain sees her leave the bank with the money. He followed her and found her meeting Shujun, Zhou's wife.

When he was studying at the Shanghai Drama Academy, he was invited to act in the first half of Chinese paladin (2005) with the lead role of Li Xiaowao which helped him win countless awards and one step to become one of the male The most famous Chinese actor . In September 2012, he was nominated for the New Artist category at the 31st Award for his role as Lin Juemin in the historical drama.
Gwei Lun-mei (Chinese: 桂 綸 鎂; pinyin: Guì Lúnměi; born December 25, 1983) is a Taiwanese actress. She began her acting career in 2002, with the film Blue Gate Crossing. Gwei later appeared in several more films before gaining widespread recognition with director Chow Chou's Secret, in which Gwei played the character Lu Hsiao-yu.
Liao Fan (Chinese: 廖 凡; born February 14, 1974) is a Chinese film and theater actor. He graduated from Shanghai Theater Academy. In February 2014, he won the Silver Bear Award for Best Actor at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival, for his performance in the film Black Coal, Thin Ice (directed by Diao Yinan).
