The fourth series of the British science fiction television show Doctor Who, preceded by the 2007 Christmas special "Journey of the Damned". Following the special, a regular series of thirteen episodes aired, beginning with "Partners in Crime" on April 5, 2008 and ending with "The Journey to the End" three months later on April 5. July 2008.
"Partners in Crime" marks the debut of Donna Noble, played by Catherine Tate, as a full-time companion to the Tenth Doctor, after her debut in the Christmas special. born in 2006, "The Runaway Bride". Freema Agyeman also returns as the companion of Doctor Martha Jones in the previous series. John Barrowman, Elisabeth Sladen, Noel Clarke and Camille Coduri also return to appear in the series finale, as does Billie Piper, who appeared as Rose Tyler in the series' final three episodes.
The series began production on August 8, 2007 and ended on March 29, 2008. A short special episode of Children in Need titled "Time Crash" was also produced and preceded "Voyage" of the Damned", as well as a mini-episode called "Music of the Spheres", which premiered at Doctor Who Prom following the finale of the fourth series in July 2008. The fourth series is a full-length series. Final Enough stars David Tennant as the Doctor, and is the last with lead writer and presenter Russell T Davies, but they'll both stay until 2010, after the 2008 special –2010. The series incorporates a loose plot that includes recurring mentions of the disappearance of bees from planet Earth and the disappearance of various planets and moons.
Right after leaving Martha Jones and teaming up with her fifth incarnation to fix her Tardis, the Doctor embarks on new adventures.
He reunites with Donna Noble, who appeared in The Christmas Wedding to try to unravel the mystery of planets disappearing through time and space.
